Vocab Words Dec 7 - Dec 11

These words are from Chapters 1 and 2 from "Hatchet".

1. spasm - painful and involuntary muscle contraction

2. hatchet - a small short-handled ax

3. throttle - a level or pedal that controls a machine

4. altitude - the height of something (like an airplane) above sea level or above the earth's surface

5. lurched - to stagger or jolt

6. turbulence - an un easiness in the sir when it causes the plane to shake and tremble

7. altimeter - instrument that measures the height above ground

8. propeller - a mechanical device that pushes againist air or water to make a machine move

Vocab Review
